Network Releasing
We are also thrilled to welcome Network Releasing to the BFFS Booking Scheme, the film division of independent distributor and publisher Network DVD is home to a hugely diverse range of titles. The Hedgehog (Le Herisson)
Eleven-year-old Paloma (Garance Le Guillermic) lives in a large apartment with her parents in Paris and is determined to commit suicide before her twelfth birthday – without truly understanding what that means. However her irritation with her family is alleviated by a new friendship with the grumpy, middle-aged building concierge on the ground floor, Renée (Josiane Balasko), witnessing her transformation after she receives the attentions of an elegant new Japanese tenant (Togo Igawa).

Jack Goes Boating
Jack (Philip Seymour Hoffman) is a shy New York City limo driver who dreams of working for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. His only friends are fellow driver Clyde (John Ortiz) and Clyde’s wife Lucy (Daphne Rubin-Vega), and it’s through them that he meets Lucy’s colleague Connie (Amy Ryan). With his friends’ help, Jack emerges from his shell, learning to cook and swim, so that he’ll be able to host a dinner for Connie, and take her out on a romantic boat ride.

Tomboy
Crop-haired ten-year-old Laure (Zoé Héran) prefers football to dolls and jeans to dresses. When her family relocates to a new neighbourhood and local girl Lisa (Jeanne Disson) mistakes her for a boy, she impulsively gives her name as Michael, allowing a whole summer exploring this intriguing new identity, bonding with the neighbourhood boys and exploring a first kiss with Lisa. With the school term fast approaching, time is running out on Laure’s deception, which remains hidden from her parents but not from her little sister Jeanne (Malonn Levana), who cleverly leverages a place in these older kids’ exciting world.
