2009 also marks the 40th anniversary of the Film Society of the Year Awards to be held during the conference at the Millennium Galleries, in Sheffield.
The historic awards aim to celebrate the tireless work of Film Society and Community Cinema volunteers and reward excellence in the field of community cinema exhibition.
